Get organized with this whimsical hook made from a 30.06 rifle barrel. This RAWtools South design lets you see the original barrel undisturbed on the hooky bit and is smooshed flat for that fun turn it makes before heading up the wall.  

Hold on before we get too far into this: let’s be honest, this hook probably won't be from the ever versatile 30.06 rifle (arguably the G.O.A.T. for big game hunting). BUT, it will be made from something in this neighborhood, like a 7MM or 308, 270, 30-30, even a .22 long rifle, or who knows what that chunk of barrel it is that someone sent us. Regardless of all that, you got to admit that naming it a 30.06 and pricing it at $30.06, was clever, right? We got that from the bigwigs who toil and tinker night and day over in our corporate marketing tower. Truth is we make these hooks from any stout hunk of appropriately sized heavy gun barrel we can get our grubby hands on.

Back to the hooks, there are those cute dimples that we make with a custom made tool. Well, actually it’s just an old bolt that we rounded the end on, over there at the belt grinder - you know that 2X72 with a 2Hp motor which can be finely tuned with the KB-27D variable frequency drive. Anyway, about the hooks, we make these in two sizes, small (4ish inches) and large (6ish inches). The small hooks have one of those remarkable dimples with a single screw hole and the large hooks get double dimples and holes for an extra attractive and secure two screw hook. These are all, every single one, given a good wire wheel finish and a warm coat of our RAWtools South secret blend of Blacksmith Budder™. We have thought about packaging that stuff up for y’all; it’s a riff on the classic wax and linseed oil paste, used by both metal and wood crafts people for who knows how long.
